Changemakers Festival

Changemakers Festival takes place on Saturday, 12 October, and Sunday 13 October 2019:

· 12 October 2019 – Evening program – ± 5 PM – 12 midnight.

· 13 October 2019 – Day program – ± 10 AM- 5 PM.

The three museums, Cube design museum, Continium discovery center and Columbus earth center are hosting this Changemakers Festival which takes place at Museum square 2 (Museumplein 2) in Kerkrade (the Netherlands).  

This two-day festival offers a unique opportunity for everyone to get inspired and explore the latest trends in the field of science, design, innovation and sustainability. These themes are linked with the themes of the three museums. There will be lectures, workshops, demos, performances, music shows, theatre performances etc. State-of-the-art projects are selected and speakers who are changemakers themselves are asked to present the latest developments in their field. This festival aims to be a fun spectacle presenting these themes for a large audience.

Practical information

• There will be an evening program on 12 October and a day program on 13 October. The day program will be interesting for both adults and young visitors. Evening program is for 18+ only.
• The festival will be Dutch spoken with a few English and German speakers.
• Regarding the implementation of the program, Changemakers festival collaborates with Brightlands Innovation Factory, Maastricht University and Maastricht UMC+.
